ANKARA

Spain skipper Alvaro Morata has joined Italian Serie A side AC Milan from LaLiga club Atletico Madrid, the Italian club said in a statement on Friday.

“Alvaro Morata is Rossonero,” the club said on X. “Adding a touch of 𝑅𝑜𝑗𝑜 to our #DNACMilan.”

The 31-year-old will stay with the Rossoneri until June 30, 2028, with an option to extend for an additional year.

Having played for several major European clubs, Morata bagged two UEFA Champions League, one FIFA Club World Cup and two Spanish LaLiga trophies with Real Madrid, one UEFA Europe League and one FA Cup with Chelsea and two Serie A titles with another Serie A side Juventus.

He netted 36 goals in 80 appearances for Spain to help them bag 2023 UEFA Nations League, and 2024 UEFA European Championship trophies.
