Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has tested positive for COVID-19, the French Ligue 1 side confirmed on Tuesday.
Italian international Donnarumma, 22, has been “placed in isolation and is subject to the appropriate health protocol,” PSG said on Twitter.
Donnarumma joined PSG from AC Milan in July 2021.
He helped the Italian national team win the UEFA EURO 2020 title.
Donnarumma was also named the player of the tournament and selected to the EURO 2020's best 11.
Meanwhile, Spanish left back Juan Bernat's test turned out to be negative and he will restart the training on Wednesday, the French club added.
Former Bayern Munich member Bernat, 28, has been playing for PSG since 2018.
He was a two-time French champion in 2019 and 2020.
