PSG advance to French Cup quarterfinals

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) eliminated Lille 3-0 Wednesday in the last 16 to qualify for the French Cup quarterfinals. 

PSG took an early lead in the ninth minute as Argentine forward Mauro Icardi scored at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

French star Kylian Mbappe successfully converted a penalty kick to double the gap for his team near the end of the first half.

Mbappe scored again to make it 3-0 in the 93rd minute, enabling PSG to reach the quarterfinals.

Lille's Turkish midfielder Yusuf Yazici missed a penalty in the second half.

Lille’s Turkish players Yazici, Burak Yilmaz and Zeki Celik played in the match.
