The 33-year-old forward was part of a sign-and-trade deal with his team-mates Donte DiVincenzo and D.J. Wilson in exchange for Bogdan Bogdanovic and Justin James from the Sacramento Kings.
But the trade deal has fallen after Bogdanovic decided to enter restricted free agency.
In his third stint with the Bucks, Ilyasova averaged 6.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in the 2019-2020 regular season.
Having joined the NBA in 2009, Ilyasova played for Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, and Atlanta Hawks.
Meanwhile, Dallas Mavericks have sent Seth Curry to the Philadelphia 76ers in return for Josh Richardson and the 36th overall pick.
