Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo has been injured, and thus ruled out of the game, an NBA insider claimed on Monday.
"Lakers guard Rajon Rondo has suffered a fractured right thumb, will undergo surgery and is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks," Shams Charania said on Twitter.
The-four-time NBA All-Star averaged 7.1 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds per game this season.
Rondo has also played for Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicans.
The 34-year-old helped Boston Celtics win the NBA title in 2008.
