Manchester United set to sign PSV Eindhoven's Dutch winger Memphis Depay
LONDON
English Premier League club Manchester United has agreed with PSV Eindhoven for the transfer of 21-year-old Dutch winger Memphis Depay.
British press reported Thursday that the "Red Devils" had paid almost £30 million ($46 million) for PSV to sign Depay from the Dutch Eredivisie winners.
Depay is expected to undergo medical tests in Manchester next week.
Other English club Liverpool and French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain were among the clubs who had wanted to sign Depay.
He is the fourth footballer transferred from PSV Eindhoven after Jaap Stam, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ji-Sung Park.
Manchester United's new signing has been playing for PSV since 2011, having scored 49 goals in 122 club appearances to date.
Capped 15 times for the Netherlands, the Dutch international scored two goals in 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil.
He also scored 20 goals in 28 league matches this season.
