Algeria won AFCON title after beating Senegal 1-0 in the final

GAZA CITY, Palestine
Football-crazed Palestinians burst into the streets of the blockaded Gaza Strip to celebrate Algeria’s win of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Algeria grabbed their second title in 29 years on Friday after a second-minute goal by forward Baghdad Bounedjah gave them a 1-0 win over Senegal in the final.
Waving Algerian flag, hundreds of Palestinians poured into the streets after the final whistle to celebrate the AFCON title.
“Algeria and Palestine are one in one,” Abdul Salam Haniyeh, a member of the Palestinian Football Association, told Anadolu Agency.
“Today, we send a message of love and loyalty to Algeria,” he said.
Algeria grabbed their first AFCON title in 1990.
