Alassane Plea on Friday committed his future with Borussia Monchengladbach until 2025, the German club announced.

The French forward agreed to extend his contract with the Foals for two more years, until June 30, 2025, with an option for an additional year.

"Alassane is now going into his fifth season with us," German club's sporting director Roland Virkus said. "The fact that he has been our top scorer across the past four seasons shows how valuable he is to the team. With his technical ability, his quality finishing and his versatility in attack, he is also an important element for the kind of football we want to play. We’re delighted that Alassane is convinced by our vision and sees his future at Borussia."

Plea, 29, who joined Monchengladbach from French club OGC Nice in 2018, netted 47 goals and provided 30 assists in 143 games for the Bundesliga side.
