Theodore Theodoridis has been appointed interim UEFA secretary general after Gianni Infantino became FIFA president earlier this week.

A UEFA Executive Committee meeting took place in Nyon, Switzerland on Friday where Theodoridis was appointed.

Theodoridis, a 50-year-old Greek citizen, had been working as UEFA deputy general secretary since Oct. 2010.

The UEFA committee also approved the agenda of the 40th UEFA Ordinary Congress, which will take place in Budapest on 3 May.

The decision on the application of the Football Federation of Kosovo for UEFA membership and the election of a female representative on the UEFA Executive Committee will be taken at the Budapest gathering.

The committee also decided that goal-line technology will be used at this year's Champions League and Europa League finals, in Milan and Basel respectively.

UEFA also reconfirmed its decision of January that there will be no presidential elections until a decision has been made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Michel Platini's appeal.
