ISTANBUL
English top football division Premier League club Manchester United won the 2015-2016 league opener against Tottenham Hotspur at home on Saturday.
The “Red Devils” managed to defeat Tottenham at Old Trafford 1-0 when the “Spurs” defender Kyle Walker knocked the ball into his own net in the 22nd minute of the match.
The season opener was also the first Premier League appearance for the United's new signings Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
