CSKA Moscow head coach Dimitris Itoudis contracted the novel coronavirus, the Russian basketball powerhouse said on Friday.

"Dimitris Itoudis tested positive for COVID-19. His wife and daughter are tested negative," CSKA Moscow said in a statement.

The club added that 49-year-old Greek coach "did not need to be hospitalized" and will stay at his home in Athens for a while.

Itoudis will miss the first part of the CSKA Moscow's training camp.

He has been coaching the Russian team since 2014.

Itoudis-led CSKA Moscow won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague twice -- in 2016 and 2019.
