Atletico Madrid's Turkish star Arda Turan's performance in the Spanish La Liga and UEFA Champions League this season, has drawn worldwide attention.

Turan will play his first Champions League quarter final match after Atletico smashed Milan 4-1 in the second leg of UEFA Champions League Round 16 in Madrid on Tuesday. In his high hopes of winning the match, he says that his team should get used to 'making history.'

Turan expressed his delight on beating Milan, one of the most important football clubs in Italy, with a high score at their home ground Vicente Calderon Stadium. Spanish team's Turkish international Turan said in an exclusive interview with the Anadolu Agency that “We will look ahead from now on. Now a tougher match awaits us. But this team can win, we will do all we can for that.”

Atletico fans' favourite, Turan stated that his team is capable of defeating any team they will confront at the quarter final, saying, “We are getting used to making history. I hope we will maintain our success.”

Spanish club's 27-year-old flamboyant winger also said he is hopeful for his former team Galatasaray to defeat London team Chelsea next Tuesday. He said that Galatasaray also have a chance to appear at the quarter final, and added, “There is always hope where there is Galatasaray.”

Having been transferred to Spanish side Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 from Turkish giants Galatasaray for a fee of 13 million euros, Arda Turan has become an integral part of the starting eleven since he helped his team "Atleti" to win UEFA Europa League in 2011-12 football season.
