ANKARA

Twitter is testing an edit button for the first time as users are asking for the feature, the company said on Thursday. 

The internal test will be expanded later this month to Twitter Blue subscribers who pay $4.99 per month, it said in a blog post.

"If you see an edited Tweet it's because we're testing the edit button this is happening and you'll be okay," said the company.

Users will be able to make changes to a few times in the 30 minutes after their tweets are published, it said;

"Edited Tweets will appear with an icon, timestamp, and label so it’s clear to readers that the original Tweet has been modified," it said.
