Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef has created an official Twitter account, following the footsteps of King Salman bin Abdulaziz who already had an account on the popular social media website since 2013.
Bin Nayef’s account, which was created on Wednesday, is historic because this is the first time in Saudi history that the two highest-ranking officials in the country have joined Twitter.
King Salman was the first Gulf leader to launch an official Twitter account and he currently has more than 4.7 million followers.
