Nvidia’s board of directors authorized an additional $150 billion under the company’s existing share repurchase program, increasing the total remaining amount to $235 billion.
The company expects to execute the total remaining program through fiscal year 2028, according to a statement on Monday.
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, said the company's growth is driven by a platform shift to artificial intelligence and accelerated computing.
Huang noted that the company's cash generation gives it the capacity to invest in technologies that advance this transformation and return capital to shareholders.
The CEO added that this authorization reflects the company's confidence in the long-term opportunity ahead.
