China launches new group of low Earth orbit internet satellites
New satellites to form 13th internet constellation
ISTANBUL
China on Monday launched a new group of low Earth orbit satellites for an internet constellation from the southern island province of Hainan, state media reported.
The group will form the 13th internet constellation, according to Xinhua news agency.
A Long March-12 carrier rocket lifted off at 10.41 am local time (0241GMT), successfully sending the satellites into their predetermined orbit.
