MOSCOW
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed on Saturday that its forces have seized another Ukrainian settlement in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region.
Units of the Southern Group of Forces took control of the settlement of Plescheyevka in the Donetsk region, the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also reported strikes on transportation infrastructure, Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises, a drone operator training center of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR), a drone production and assembly workshop, an air defense radar station, and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations in 156 areas.
Ukraine, for its part, responded with air raids, citing the fact that Russian air defense systems had shot down four guided aviation bombs, six HIMARS rockets, and 140 drones in the past day.
