Ureid takes over post as Tunisia's new prime minister

TUNIS

A handover ceremony was held in Tunis for Tunisia's new government.
Ali al-Ureid took over the post as Tunisia's new prime minister.
The ceremony was held at the Kasba Palace.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister al-Ureid underlined that "the success of the government would imply the success of Tunisia and the revolution".
Former Tunisian Prime Minister Hammadi al-Jibali had resigned on February 19 after his initiative for a "technocrat government" did not receive support.
