Ministers Hulusi Akar, Mevlut Cavusoglu, intelligence chief Hakan Fidan in Tripoli to discuss bilateral, regional issues

Turkish top officials visit Libyan capital

ANKARA

Turkish officials on Monday arrived in the Libyan capital of Tripoli on an official visit.

A Foreign Ministry statement said: "Mevlut Cavusoglu, minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Turkey, together with Hulusi Akar, minister of national defense, and Hakan Fidan, director of National Intelligence Organization, will pay an official visit to Libya on 3 May 2021."

Meanwhile, the National Defense Ministry on Twitter said Chief of General Staff Yasar Guler was also part of the delegation.

"During the visit, bilateral and regional issues will be discussed," said the Foreign Ministry.
