'Turkey to further cooperation with Balkans'

ANKARA

Turkey will enhance cooperation with the Balkans, Turkey's top diplomat said on Friday. 

Attending the Strategic Dialogue on the Western Balkans Leaders Summit hosted by World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva, Mevlut Cavusoglu said he emphasized Turkey's support for "lasting peace and stability" in the Balkans to continue. 

"Will further our cooperation with the Balkan geography," Cavusoglu said on Twitter.

Cavusoglu is expected to hold bilateral meetings with other delegation heads at the summit.

On the sidelines of the summit, Cavusoglu met with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias.

Cavusoglu said on Twitter: "Exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments."

Separately, he also met with WEF's founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab, with whom he discussed topics on the international agenda.
