KABUL (AA) - Tension at Afghanistan-Pakistan border has risen following Pakistani troops entry at the border gates in Goshta, Afghanistan.
Pakistani troops came to the border gates in Goshta early Monday and clashes restarted among Pakistani and Afghan troops.
An Afghan police officer said the clashes started when Pakistani troops tried to enter Afghan soil and attempted to control and repair the midpoints there. He added Pakistani troops opened fire and Afghan police responded to it.
It was reported that the sides had been using heavy weapons.
Last Thursday, troops from the two sides exchanged fire for about six hours and Pakistani troops were rejected from Afghan soil. Afghan military also destroyed the midpoints Pakistan built.
Kabul administration accuses Islamabad for attacking Afghanistan's sovereignty rights. Afghanistan has never recognized the Durand Line, the border line with Pakistan which was set by Britain.
