Ali Battih, member of Shura Council of Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood stated Thursday the Brotherhood would continue its peaceful protests by saying "Muslim Brotherhood will not resort to violence to back constitutional monarchy no matter what happens" related to Wednesday's military coup in the country.
"The crowds in Egypt's squares who reject the slavery will take action to subvert military coup and restore the constitutional monarchy" said Battih evaluating the recent developments in Egypt.
He added "Muslim Brotherhood will not resort to violence to back constitutional monarchy no matter what happens and will continue the Pro-Morsi protests against the military coup."
Pointing out that he was deeply sorry over the violence in the country, Battih said "Violence is unacceptable regardless of where it comes from."
The Egyptian prosecution issued arrest warrant for Muslim Brotherhood Guide Mohammad Badei, his deputy Khairat el-Shater and all members of the Brotherhood’s guidance office on Thursday.
The crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood and its FJP came shortly after Defense Minister Abdel Fatah El Sisi announced Wednesday that the Constitutional Court head will serve as interim president until early presidential elections are held.
He added that a roadmap for the future of Egypt also included temporarily suspending the constitution, forming a coalition government of technocrats and holding early presidential elections.
