CAIRO
Egypt's former president Hosni Mubarak was sentenced to life imprisonment.
His two sons, who were tried in the same hearing, acquitted.
Mubarak was sentenced to life imprisonment on charge of abetting the killing of protestors during the demonstrations in the country.
Opponents in the country had two different opinions after the verdict was announced. Some of them were pleased with the decision, while some others thought the sentence was not enough.
Some of the opponents said that they would hold protests at Tahrir Square.
