Press officer of the National Transition Council of Azawad movement (MNLA), Musa ag et-Tahir, on Tuesday said that the "Malian army was conducting genocide against those individuals of Tuareg race."
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Tahir said that he was in the Embera refugee camp of Mauritania ever since the French military intervention began in Mali.
"The Malian army is conducting a genocide against the Tuareg race in regions under its control. It is not possible for the MNLA to leave the Kidal region and its people facing a genocide. We are ready to fight when racist Malian forces enter the Kidal region," Tahir also said.
