Iran's FM Mohammad Javad Zarif responded to US Secretary of State John Kery's words accusing Iran for not accepting the agreement reached between attending states at Geneva talks, saying “You can't build trust by distorting facts."
During his visit to the UAE as part of his Middle East tour last week, Kerry said that in nuclear talks in Geneva, five permanent members of UN Security Council plus Germany, have agreed on a solution but Iran has refused to accept agreement. In response to that statement Zarif said, "several diplomats relay the events in different ways when they face different questions and people to eliminate the worries of hosting countries. But certainly this contradictory behaviour bruises the trust they try to build."
"People have seen which side is the problem after some acts and statements appeared on media," Zarif reminded, adding, "You can't build trust or earn credibility by distorting facts."
Stressing his hope of agreement between the West and Iran, Zarif said, "With a serious commitment, I think they can still use this opportunity. This kind of statements do not change the facts and contribute to building of mutual trust."
