Mamuka Bakhtadze resigned as prime minister of Georgia on Monday.
He made the announcement in a Facebook post saying he will explain his decision later during the day.
Bakhtadze, who took office in 2018, has become the fourth prime minister of Georgia to resign from his post in the last seven years.
According to the Georgian constitution, his resignation will also mean the dissolution of the government.
The ruling Georgian Dream Party has to submit a new candidate for prime minister and a new Cabinet within two weeks.
