CAIRO
Egyptian security forces have arrested three "hardliners" in the 6 October City, west of Cairo, a security source said Saturday.
According to the source, ten bombs and eight machineguns were seized from the arrested "hardliners".
The source said that the militants "were planning to carry out a series of attacks".
There was no comment from Egyptian authorities.
Egypt has seen an uptick of attacks targeting security forces since the July 3 ouster of elected president Mohamed Morsi.
