Civilians were released in the Syrian city of Homs blockaded by Assad forces on Friday.
Up to now 11 civilians in total, including a-10-year-old-child, were released, said Syrian official news agency SANA.
The Governor of Homs, Talal al-Barazi said that he hoped firstly that 200 civilians including women, children, the elderly and the wounded would be released on Friday within the scope of an agreement made with the United Nations.
Meanwhile, while some progress is being made to release civilians, "regime forces commenced firing at many who were trying to leave the Al-Karabis region", said several activists in Homs.
On Thursday, al-Barazi announced that there was an agreement with UN about the release of the civilians and this process would start as soon as possible on Friday.
