OTTAWA (AA) – An inter-parliamentary friendship group from the Turkish parliament was given a warm welcome at the Canadian parliament when they attended a parliament session in capital Ottawa.
Sadik Badak, Recai Berber and Mehmet Mus from Justice and Development (AK) Party, Kadir Gokmen Ogut of Republican People’s Party (CHP) and Oktay Ozturk of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) followed a session of Federal Parliament of Canada, during which a report on Turkey-Canada relations drawn up by Senator Anne Cools was voted.
The report consists of six advices about Turkish-Canadian affairs, such as establishing warm and close relations with Turkey and starting free trade talks with Turkey.
It also proposes businessmen from the two countries to make business with third party countries in cooperation, improving the mobilization among the youths of the two countries, developing foreign policies in technology and education and signing mutual understanding agreements in all cooperation fields, Sadik Badak, the chairman of the group told the AA.
