HATAY
A blast occurred near the Syrian Babel Hawa border gate located across Cilvegozu border gate in southern province of Hatay in Turkey on Tuesday.
The blast took place in the region between Sarmada village of Idlib city and Babel Hawa border gate, local sources told Anadolu Agency.
The blast was reported to have occurred in a vehicle claimed to have been carrying explosives near a tent city which hosts almost 5,000 Syrian refugees.
Sources said there might be casualties.
A Turkish medical team was dispatched to Cilvegozu border gate in case some wounded could be transferred to Turkey.
