KABUL
At least three civilians including a child were killed when a suicide bomber detonated explosives near the vehicle of an Afghan MP on Sunday evening in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul, the ministry of interior said.
Deputy Gul Pacha Majidi and eight other civilians were injured when the attacker targeted him near his residential area, according to a statement from the ministry.
“The terrorist attack, which targeted vehicle of the MP, took place at 6:00 pm (local time) in district 6th of capital Kabul,” the statement said. “We strongly condemn killing of innocent civilians.”
It is the second suicide attack on Majidi in less than a year. The Taliban militants did not comment on the incident.
