Angry protesters smashed a fast-driving car that ran over fellow supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi near Nahda Square in the Giza Governorate in the early hours of Tuesday.
They beat the driver to death, according to eyewitnesses and an Anadolu Agency correspondent.
The car had run over more than 20 protesters injuring ten of them, some seriously.
The identity of the driver has not yet been known
