Tehran opens Holy Mary Metro Station
The new metro station "Maryam-e Moqaddas, meaning Holy Virgin Mary,” is dedicated to the Armenian community, has opened in Tehran, Iran. The station, located near one of the capital’s main Armenian churches, features Christian-themed artwork and has become a focal point of public debate. The design includes murals and reliefs depicting the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ, as well as architectural elements inspired by Armenian Christian heritage.
