Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya
Kibera slum located in Nairobi, Kenya is the biggest and the poorest African slum with a population of around one million. Most houses are wooden shacks with a mud floor and a tin roof, no toilets or running water. Kibera has two mains water pipes, one from the municipal council and one from the World Bank. Local people carry their clean water in jerrycans.
