High-profile committee of Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC) visited Rohingya camps in Bangladesh

COX'S BAZAR, BANGLADESH, DECEMBER 20: Rohingya children and aged members were sharing their conditions as an 11-member team from the Committee on Muslim Communities and Minorities, a subsidiary of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) led by Turkish lawmaker Orhan Atalay, who is also the chair of the PUIC Delegation of Turkiye and the committee's rapporteur, visited the Rohingya refugee camp in the southern border district of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh on December 20, 2022 to see the humanitarian condition of the persecuted people in the squalid makeshift camps. The team visited different facilities of the UN refugee agency, UNHCR, World Food Program (WFP), and the Turkiye-run facilities including Turkish Field Hospital, one of the biggest health facilities in the Rohingya camps that serve an average of 1,000 patients per day.
