Saudi Arabia intercepts 4 drones heading toward oil field
Air defense systems engage drones before reaching intended target, says Defense Ministry
ISTANBUL
The Saudi Defense Ministry said Friday that air defenses intercepted 4 drones above the Empty Quarter that were heading to the Shaybah Oil Field in the southeastern area of the country.
The ministry said air defense systems detected and engaged the drones before they reached their intended target, confirming that no damage was reported to oil facilities.
