Qatari Foreign Minister Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday where he met with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed.

Talks dwelt on bilateral relations and means of enhancing them “to serve the interests of the two countries,” the UAE’s state news agency WAM reported.

The visit is the first by a Qatari minister to the UAE since the signing of a reconciliation agreement in Saudi Arabia in January 2021.

The reconciliation agreement ended more than three years of a rift between Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt with Qatar. The four countries had accused Doha of supporting terrorist groups, an accusation vehemently denied by Qatar.
