A Palestinian was killed and another injured Thursday in separate Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, amid ongoing violations of a ceasefire in place since October, a medical source reported.
An Israeli drone targeted and killed a Palestinian in the southern city of Rafah, the source added.
In a separate incident, another Palestinian was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the northern city of Beit Lahia.
Israeli forces have carried out near-daily violations of the ceasefire through shelling and live fire, killing 736 Palestinians and injuring 2,035 others since the agreement took effect.
The ceasefire was reached after two years of genocide launched by Israel in Gaza on Oct. 8, 2023, with the US support. The war and its aftermath have killed more than 72,000 Palestinians and wounded over 172,000, while destroying about 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure.
