Morocco launches second earth-observation satellite
French-built satellite is launched into orbit from French Guiana's Kouru Base

RABAT (AA) - Morocco late Tuesday launched its second satellite from the Kourou Base in French Guiana, Morocco’s official MAP news agency has reported.
The French-built satellite, according to the agency, will be used for mapping, agricultural planning and disaster prevention, along with border and coastal surveillance.
It will be Morocco’s second earth-observation satellite, the first having been launched in November of last year.
