A military aircraft crashed Sunday in southwestern Iran, the official IRNA news agency reported.

IRNA, citing a well-placed source, said the F-5 fighter went down during a mission in Dezfoul in Khuzestan province.

A technical problem while landing was blamed for the crash.

A pilot ejected safely while another pilot was injured, IRNA said.
