Lebanese parliament extends its mandate by 2 years

ISTANBUL

Lebanonese parliament approved on Monday a two-year extension of the incumbent assembly’s mandate, Lebanese media reported.

The General Assembly of the Lebanon's House of Representatives approved the extension of the parliament’s mandate by a majority of 76 votes, with 41 deputies opposing and four deputies abstaining from voting, the state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported.
