Israeli military says it intercepted drone launched from Iran
Local media reports sirens in Beit Shean due to drone

ISTANBUL
The Israeli Air Force said early Thursday that it intercepted a drone launched from Iran overnight which triggered air raid sirens in several areas of northern Israel.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that sirens had sounded in the area of Beit Shean due to the drone.
A second drone was intercepted shortly after in the Jordan Valley, the Air Force said on X.
Regional tensions have escalated since Friday, when Israel launched airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes.
Israeli authorities said at least 24 people have been killed and hundreds injured since then in Iranian missile attacks.
Meanwhile, in Iran, 585 people have been killed and more than 1,300 wounded in the Israeli assault, according to Iranian media reports.
