Israeli army vehicle targeted by drone: Islamic Jihad

GAZA CITY

The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Gaza-based resistance faction Islamic Jihad, says it targeted an Israeli military vehicle with an unmanned aerial drone during a three-day conflict in Gaza early this month.

On Thursday, the Brigades posted video footage on its website purporting to show an Israeli armored vehicle coming under attack by an armed drone.

It is not clear, however, whether or not rockets fired by the drone struck the targeted vehicle.

The Brigades did not provide any information regarding what kind of drone was used in the alleged attack.

The Israeli army, for its part, has yet to comment on the footage.

In early May, the Israeli military pounded the Hamas-run Gaza Strip with airstrikes and artillery fire, leaving at least 27 Palestinians dead.

Gaza-based resistance factions responded by firing dozens of rockets into Israeli territory, reportedly killing four Israelis.
