The Israeli army detained two journalists in the West Bank early Wednesday.

Witnesses told Anadolu that Mohamed al-Atrash and Amer Abu Arafa were detained after occupation forces stormed their homes in the city of Hebron and searched them.

The Israeli army also carried out a detention campaign in Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Qalqilya and Jericho.

In a related development, an Israeli army force stormed Birzeit University’s campus, according to witnesses.

The force entered the campus with military vehicles.

Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid an Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip.

Israel has launched air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas on Oct. 7.
