ISTANBUL
At least two people were killed, and 29 more, including eight women and nine children, were injured in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa region, Lebanese media reported.
The deceased were a Syrian child and a woman who later died from her injuries, Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported, citing the country's Public Health Emergency Operations Center.
The wounded included eight women and nine children, it added.
The latest attacks came amid repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement reached in Nov. 2024, killing and wounding hundreds of Lebanese. Israel continues to occupy five Lebanese hilltops seized during the latest war, in addition to other Lebanese areas it has held for decades.
