Israel continues to issue forced 'evacuation orders' for central Gaza

JERUSALEM/ISTANBUL

The Israeli army continued to force Palestinians in central Gaza to flee, with a new "evacuation order" issued Sunday for Deir al-Balah city.

Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee shared a map on his X account on the forced displacement of Palestinians from five neighborhoods in Deir al-Balah.

The eviction order released by Adraee covers Al-Sahaba, Al-Samah, Al-Awda, Al-Zawaida and Al-Salah.

Adraee said the Israeli army would launch intense attacks on the area, warning that this was the "final warning" and urged Palestinians to move to the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis in the south.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office meanwhile said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Defense Minister Israel Katz while en route to Washington, D.C.

Netanyahu gave the order for "a strong response” after rockets were fired from Gaza and for “continued intense attacks on Gaza."

Katz also said he conveyed orders to the Israeli army to carry out very intense attacks on the enclave.
