Israel arrests 13 more Palestinians in West Bank
Around 3,400 Palestinians detained by Israeli army in West Bank since Oct. 7 Hamas attack, according to local NGO
RAMALLAH, Palestine
Israeli army forces rounded up another 13 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Friday, a local nongovernmental organization said.
A total of 3,403 Palestinians have been arrested by Israeli forces in the West Bank since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a statement.
Tensions have been running high across the West Bank amid an Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group on Oct. 7.
Before the outbreak of the Gaza conflict, the number of Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails was estimated at around 5,200, including more than 1,000 held under Israel's notorious administrative detention policy without charge or trial.
