Iranian trainer aircraft crashes in eastern Alborz province
Piper PA-28 type plane lost contact on its route from Nazarabad to Savojbolagh, official says
TEHRAN, Iran
An Iranian trainer aircraft crashed in Iran's eastern Alborz province on Tuesday, an official said.
Savojbolagh Governor Mohammad Reza Alborzi said that the Piper PA-28 type aircraft took off from the city of Nazarabad city and lost contact with the control tower on its route to Savojbolagh, Tasnim News Agency reported.
Elborzi said that rescue teams are searching areas where the plane may have crashed.
