The raid on the three-story facility south of the capital Tehran uncovered numerous drone parts and explosives, footage broadcast by state television showed.
Security forces said that additional drone production workshops may exist in various regions across the country and efforts continue to locate them.
Some Israeli attacks have been conducted using mini kamikaze drones, highlighting the significance of the discovered workshop.
Meanwhile, authorities established checkpoints on Tehran roads while searching suspicious vehicles as security measures intensify.
The discovery comes amid escalating tensions following Israeli strikes Friday on Iranian nuclear and missile facilities that killed top military commanders and scientists, prompting Iran to retaliate with ballistic missiles against Israeli targets.
