Iranian attacks targeted civilian facilities in Bahrain’s capital Friday, causing material damage but no casualties, according to the Interior Ministry.

The ministry said the attack in Manama targeted two hotels and a residential building, adding that civil defense teams and authorities responded immediately to secure the affected sites.

The attack comes amid escalating regional tensions linked to the ongoing war between Israel and the US on one side and Iran on the other which has involved exchanges of missile and drone strikes across several parts of the Middle East.

Bahrain hosts key US military facilities, including the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet, making it one of the countries closely monitoring security developments amid the ongoing escalation in the region.

The attacks have raised growing concerns about the possibility of a wider regional confrontation as hostilities continue to expand across the Middle East.
